It's been a few weeks since the early spring birds came back. Robins (like this one in our garden), Killdeer, Red-winged Blackbirds, Grackles and Vultures are now quite ubiquitous. The last couple of weeks have seen migration start to gather pace. Swallows, sparrows, the first Pine Warblers, terns and the like are all arriving with new species appearing every day.

I took these shots a few weeks ago, but have not got round to uploading them. This Long-eared Owl was just too good to resist. I also discovered how heavy 500mm f4 lenses are. Thanks to the kind folks who allowed me to use theirs.
Also saw this little Northern Saw-whet Owl while working in Toronto a few weeks ago. Typically obscured, but you get the idea.
